D.G. got me an iPod Shuffle for Yamaha. I almost bought one last week so I was really happy I didn’t. For those of you who don’t know (which is most likely everyone) Yamaha is the “Christmas” holiday of the Baha’i. I can’t say that I understand a lot about the religion, but basically Yamaha involves four days of exchanging gifts followed by nineteen days of fasting. I wasn’t sure how I felt about having a 2nd Christmas (until today, haha) but it will still take some getting used to.
I downloaded some of the latest tracks from MySpace, which I usually avoid. I will admit though, when it comes to music there seems to be an unlimited number of artists to choose from. It will be great to not have to drag my 60G iPod in my pocket when I feel like listening to music.
Religion, Technology
I don’t actually know if there is a point to Attractors, but it isn’t too difficult to pass the time shifting the bars and circles around the screen to see how it adjusts the flow of whatever it is that is falling onto the screen.

I don’t know anyone who could resist getting a Chewbacca Mimobot.
Internet
In an obvious parody of the ‘ready.gov’ website, Safe Now is a hilarious substitute for what you should do if you find yourself in an emergency situation.
Humor, Internet
It is supposedly only a beta, but Line Game is wickedly addictive.

I *really* want one of these lights. I don’t know how they do it, considering thre are no plugs or cables but I think it would be quite cool if you could light up your entire condo without any electricity.
I clearly don’t spend nearly enough time browsing Charles & Marie, they have a plethora of nifty “lifestyle” decorations for your home.
Furniture
It is 1:30am and I have the hiccups.
D.G. is *very* sick with what we are guessing is some type of stomach flu. We were supposed to spend tomorrow with her parents (visiting the art gallery or one of the museums), but we are obviously not going to be doing anything. If she doesn’t feel better by tomorrow we’ll most likely have to go to the clinic and see if they have something for her.
I don’t know where to start as far as February. We went home for my sister’s wedding, which was without question the most enjoyable wedding I have ever attended. I was her “Man of Honour” and got to walk with my mom down the aisle, and I got to do a reading from Captain Corelli’s Mandolin. The entire wedding last about 25 minutes, and since they did all of their pictures before the wedding, everyone got to immediately go to the reception without any delays. The reception was great, and the dinner was fantastic. It was nice to be able to spend time with my family, which has surprisingly happened quite a lot since I met D.G. I thought it was fascinating that I made it through the entire weekend without drinking.
I should also mention that D.G. and I got engaged.
I won’t go into too much detail, but let’s just say it involved orchids, rose petals, and a plethora of candles. With her saying yes, and the wedding, it was quite a fantastic weekend.
Life has been quiet since we got back. D.G. has been busy with school and I’ve been reviewing proposals for the upcoming conferences. We did rearrange the furniture recently though, which worked out nicely because we needed more counter space for cooking. But what prompted it was mom and dad buying us two crystal swans as an engagement gift and us needing to get a display case so that they wouldn’t be shattered by Phoenix. I suppose it is a little odd to purchase furniture backwards, but whatever works.
It is hilarious though because one glass display case makes the entire condo seem very “adult”. Scary.
I guess that is about all. Mostly just working, gaming, and sending every extra dollar to my good friends at CRA.
