I needed to catch up on some work tonight. It isn’t that I have been lacking in motivation lately, but D.G. and I have been attempting to catch up a little so I have actually been attempting to fall asleep at a realistic hour every night this week. Without the ‘late shift’ hours I’ve been falling behind a little so I took some Full Throttle tonight so that I could stay awake.
The dilemma of course is that now I can’t fall asleep.
I got a lot of work done at least, so I can’t complain too much. I just doubt I’ll be waking up bright and early tomorrow morning.
I can’t wait until the conference is finished next week. I don’t have a clue what I’ll do all summer, but I am going to try to spend some time with D.G. and the kids. You can’t believe how quickly your life perspective changes after you spend time with autistic and disabled kids. The things that I used to be so concerned about don’t seem very important at all by comparison. I suppose that’s life.
I’m going to go play PSP and attempt to unplug for the night.

Mmm. My 8GB Memory Stick Pro Duo arrived today. I suppose the Sony specific memory is slightly annoying, but since it fits in the PSP, and both of my digital cameras, I don’t really care that much.
Technology
I don’t know why but I recently started playing the Nintendo DS (Dual Screen) and the Sony PSP (Playstation Portable). I wouldn’t consider myself any type of a console gamer but I was *very* surprised to discover how great of a distraction they can be. I’m particularly addicted to Puzzle Quest, which is a combination of an RPG and Bejeweled. It is the perfect way to kill time (literally, haha) instead of watching TV.
Gaming
We bought a Sony Cyber-Shot DSCW55L. Well, “I” bought one but it will most likely be used by D.G. during the summer program so that she can take pictures of the kids. It is quite similar to my SLR (big screen and 7.2mp) but it is *really* lightweight and fits nicely into a pocket. We haven’t had the chance to use it yet, but I’m sure the pictures will be excellent quality.

I totally forget the last month. :( I will try to remember though. We just finished our first conference on Saturday after three solid weeks of setting up a wireless infrastructure which required way too many sleepless nights and I don’t know how many hours. It worked though so I suppose you could say that it was worth it. :) It was really nice to see everyone though, in particular my friend A. from Japan. I *really* want to go back. The next conference is in two weeks though and I’ll admit that it is difficult to be motivated at the moment. I am attempting to get as much done this week as possible. I know I can’t complain considering we only host these once a year but it is so completely all encompassing that there isn’t a moment for anything else in my life.
D.G. maybe saw one another three times in June and with the summer season starting we’ll most likely only get to spend the occasion night and weekend together as she will be quite busy with the summer camps until late August. I will have to start visiting after the next conference is finished. I totally want to see a movie at the Drive-In. It won’t be so bad though, since we did the exact same thing last year. We just have to make sure that we totally keep the wedding on track, although the wedding coordinator seems to be quite helpful in keeping everything organized.
I suppose that is really everything that is happening at the moment. Work. It’s hilarious considering life is usually quite hectic for me with the exception of June and July. It will be nice when it is all finished and I can attempt to catch up on simple things like life.
