The “Lost” Tribe
So the tribe wasn’t so lost. It ends up that they have known about the tribe since 1910 and the entire story was a hoax to promote awareness. I still think the idea of them building a shrine to the airplane made for an interesting read. ![]()

Just For Now
I thought I posted a link to Imogen doing a live performance of Just For Now. I just remembered. Anyways, it is without question the most incredible a capella performance ever. I thought she was quite an impressive artist before I watched this video but afterwards you realize she is on a completely different level.
Flying Dutchman
I wouldn’t consider myself a fan of Tori Amos but these kids are remarkable (especially the kid at 2:12 doing his Stevie Wonder). They are the perfect example of why music programs shouldn’t be dropped from schools. I totally went through the whole music program when I was younger and piano lessons. I think I might get D.G. to teach me to play since I haven’t touched a keyboard in a lifetime. Actually, it was probably right about the same time I started getting into computers. Maybe I could have become the next Ryuichi Sakomoto.

Customer Service
I don’t know anyone who hasn’t experienced some issue with customer service. I was reading an article by a San Jose Mercury reporter about his experiences when I came across this “comment” about one individual experience with SBC/Yahoo. It is *so* funny. I didn’t want to make you search through the comments so I posted it here.
Paper Crane Project
Eshu recently launched the Paper Crane Project on Flickr. I planned on posting about this a few weeks ago but I didn’t get the chance to write (as you probably noticed from the abundance of posts) until today. The digest version is that you send her your address, she sends you a paper crane in the mail, you take a picture of the paper crane, you send it back, and she posts the picture. There will only be 1,000 so make sure you email her.
Facebook: The Conspiracy
I don’t consider myself a fan of social networking sites. I have been bombarded recently though to join the millions of people who already signed up on Facebook. It is basically MySpace (at least IMHO) without the music. Facebook only recently allowed access to its site to the public after originally only allowing students. I know a LOT of people who use Facebook as their blog, post pictures there, and manage their social lives. You could argue that it isn’t any different than keeping a blog (like this one for instance) except that there isn’t information on a LOT of people in one place. I am a huge fan of conspiracy theories, so needless to say that when someone emailed me a link to this video I knew I had to share it with the rest of you. Enjoy. ![]()
Star Wars Flash Drives
I don’t know anyone who could resist getting a Chewbacca Mimobot. ![]()
